"The enemy has legal rights to attack me because of my past sins."
How it sounds in your head: I know I'm forgiven, but there are things from my past—abortion, affairs, things I did before I knew Jesus—and I wonder if the enemy has a 'right' to harass me because of them. Maybe I opened doors I never fully closed.
"Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:14Religion + legalism - teaching that the blood only covers SOME sins or that believers must close 'demonic doors' themselves instead of trusting Christ's FINISHED work.
Popular deliverance teaching emphasizes 'breaking soul ties' and 'closing doors,' implying the cross didn't fully deal with past sin. She's been taught she has to DO something to undo what Christ already undid.
She was caught IN THE ACT of adultery—undeniable guilt, legal right to stone her. Jesus said 'Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.' INSTANT removal of legal accusation. No process, no deliverance session, no 'closing doors.' Just 'You're free.'
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy has legal rights to my life because of past sin. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus WIPED OUT every requirement against me and nailed it to the cross. Colossians 2:13 says He forgave ALL my trespasses—not most, not some, ALL. The woman caught in adultery was guilty IN THE ACT, and Jesus said 'Neither do I condemn you.' If He doesn't condemn, the enemy has ZERO legal ground. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 - NO CONDEMNATION to those in Christ. My past is under the BLOOD, every door was closed at the CROSS, and I stand RIGHTEOUS, FORGIVEN, and UNTOUCHABLE by accusation. The enemy is a trespasser with no lease, no deed, and no rights. I am HOLY ground, bought by the blood of the Lamb.
The Father isn't waiting for you to 'close doors.' Jesus kicked them off the hinges at the cross. You're not partially free—you're FULLY free, and the enemy's accusations are legal fiction with no standing in Heaven's court.
