"The enemy has a foothold in my life and I can't get him out no matter what I do."
How it sounds in your head: There's this area—maybe my thoughts, my fears, my body image—where he just seems to have access. I've prayed, I've confessed, I've tried everything, but he keeps coming back. Maybe I gave him permission somehow and now I can't undo it.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
-- Luke 10:19Source: Religion teaching that demons need 'legal rights' or 'open doors' that she must close through spiritual mechanics.
She has repetitive struggles that feel like evidence of enemy occupation. The teaching that sin gives Satan 'footholds' makes her constant introspection looking for what she did wrong to let him in.

I REFUSE the lie that the enemy has a foothold in my life I can't remove. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus gave me authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy. I don't have to find what door I opened or what sin gave him access—Jesus' blood CLOSED every door and revoked every right. The enemy is a TRESPASSER with no legal ground. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of the Son. The BARAK blessing covers even my worst moments—if it protected murderers and liars, it protects me. I am DEMON-PROOF by the blood.
The Father doesn't see you trying to evict an enemy from territory you don't own—He sees you seated in Christ, far above all demonic power, wondering why you're tolerating squatters in your basement. Like the prodigal's father didn't make him clean up before entering the house, your Father didn't make you clean enough to be indwelt by His Spirit—He moved in FIRST, making you clean.
