"Satan has more influence over my circumstances than God does"
How it sounds in your head: I pray and nothing changes, but the enemy whispers and everything falls apart. It feels like Satan has more access to my life than God. My thoughts, my relationships, my peace—he seems to control it all while God watches from a distance.
"And the LORD said to Satan, 'Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.' So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD."
-- Job 1:12Dualistic worldview teaching that presents God and Satan as equal opposing forces, rather than Creator and defeated created being
When prayers seem unanswered but negative patterns persist, it creates the illusion that darkness responds faster than light. The immediacy of anxiety feels more powerful than the patience required for faith.
Satan demanded to sift Peter like wheat—to destroy him completely. Jesus didn't say 'I'll prevent it.' He said 'I have PRAYED for you, that your FAITH should not fail.' Satan got limited access, but Jesus was already ensuring the outcome—Peter would turn back and strengthen others.
I REFUSE the lie that Satan has more influence over my life than God. IT IS WRITTEN that Satan must ask permission and operates within boundaries God sets. He is not God's equal—he's a defeated created being on a leash. Every attack has limits, every trial has an exit, every wilderness has an end. IT IS WRITTEN that all things work together for good to those who love God. Even what the enemy means for harm, God is turning for my good. The BARAK blessing guarantees that enemies who rise against me will be defeated before my face. I am not subject to Satan's whims—I am hidden in Christ, seated in heavenly places, far above all rule and authority.
Your Father isn't equal with Satan, watching to see who wins. He's sovereign, and Satan is His defeated footstool. What looks like enemy influence is happening within boundaries God set, and He's already written the end—YOUR VICTORY.
