"The church only wants young worship leaders and young speakers. I'm being quietly retired."
How it sounds in your head: They're building a 'young adult' everything. They want energy and relatability, not depth and history. I'm being moved to children's ministry or hospitality—shelved with a smile.
"Therefore the Lord God of Israel says: 'I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.' But now the Lord says: 'Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.'"
-- 1 Samuel 2:30Religion's obsession with appearance and numbers instead of anointing and authority.
Every new initiative targets millennials and Gen Z. The stage is filled with 20-somethings. Her attempts to serve get redirected to 'support roles' while younger women get platforms.
Moses was 80 years old—EIGHTY—when God called him to his life's greatest work. He wasn't promoted at 30; he was shepherding sheep in obscurity. Then God showed up and said, 'NOW bring My people out.' His most significant leadership began at retirement age.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm being quietly retired. IT IS WRITTEN that those who honor God, He will honor—and I honor Him with my years and my faithfulness. My assignment comes from HEAVEN, not from a church calendar or org chart. IT IS WRITTEN that even to my old age He is God, and even to gray hairs He will carry me and deliver me. Like Moses who started his greatest work at 80, my most significant season is NOW. If man won't make room, God will MAKE the room. I carry the Abrahamic BARAK—I am blessed coming in and going out, and every place my foot treads is mine. My voice will be heard, my anointing will be recognized, and my influence will EXPAND.
The Father isn't shuffling you to the back—He's preparing a FRONT-ROW assignment that requires the authority only your years can carry. Like Moses who didn't start delivering nations until 80, your Pharaoh-confronting season is just beginning.
