The politics, the cliques, the passive-aggression—it's high school with a worship band. I shared something vulnerable in small group and it got back to me twisted. I don't need that toxicity.

You experienced real betrayal of confidentiality and actual relational toxicity. The drama was exhausting and the gossip was real.
Job's friends sat with him in silence for seven days, then spent chapters accusing him of hidden sin causing his suffering. God rebuked them for misrepresenting Him. But Job's BREAKTHROUGH came when he prayed FOR his toxic friends—then God restored double everything. The restoration required him to stay in relationship, not isolate.
I REFUSE the lie that all community is toxic because one group was. IT IS WRITTEN that talebearers sin, but faithful spirits conceal matters—that's the standard, not the exception. Gossip violated Scripture; it didn't define it. IT IS WRITTEN that iron sharpens iron and two are better than one. Like Job whose friends misrepresented God, my restoration came when I stayed in relationship. I am Abraham's seed. The BARAK blessing is bringing me to covenant friendships that PROTECT my story. God is leading me to Jonathans whose souls are knit to mine. I'm not staying isolated because some were immature. My breakthrough is in the RIGHT community.
The Father is grieved by their gossip and leading you to friends who will guard your heart like treasure. He's bringing you to a David and Jonathan friendship where loyalty is fierce and love is covenant. That person is looking for you too.
