"The best years of my life are behind me and can't be recovered"
How it sounds in your head: I had my youth, my strength, my beauty. Those were my best years and they're gone forever. Everything ahead is just decline and loss. I'll never feel that alive or hopeful again.
"But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day."
-- Proverbs 4:18Cultural lie that youth equals 'best' years, causing present life to feel like disappointing decline.
Her physical body has objectively declined from its peak, and society constantly reinforces that youth is the pinnacle. Every ache and limitation seems to confirm her best days are past.
Caleb was 85 years old and declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me'—then asked for the mountain with giants on it because he was ready to conquer. His strength and vision INCREASED with age, not decreased.
I REFUSE the lie that my best years are behind me. IT IS WRITTEN that my path shines EVER BRIGHTER unto the perfect day—I'm not declining, I'm ASCENDING in glory. Youth isn't the pinnacle; knowing God is, and I know Him better now than ever. IT IS WRITTEN that Caleb at 85 was as strong as at 40 and conquered mountains. My Father's plan for me doesn't peak at 25 and decline—it INCREASES in glory from one degree to another. The BARAK blessing doesn't expire with age. My BEST days are ahead because they're rooted in His glory, not my physical strength.
Your Father isn't nostalgic for your younger years—He's EXCITED about what He's doing in you RIGHT NOW, and He's designed your path to get brighter, not dimmer. The glory you'll experience in your remaining years will eclipse anything you experienced in youth.
