"I wasted my potential and now it's too late."
How it sounds in your head: Teachers used to say I had potential. Coaches saw something in me. But I didn't develop it, didn't work hard, didn't follow through. Now I'm 15 and that potential is gone—I had a window and I closed it.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

He has tangible memories of adults identifying potential, and tangible evidence of not living up to it—quit teams, mediocre grades, abandoned projects. The gap between what was possible and what is feels permanent.
Peter had THREE YEARS of potential development with Jesus, then WASTED it by denying Christ three times at the critical moment—ultimate failure. Days later, Jesus REINSTATED him fully and made him the rock of the early church—instant restoration of calling.
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted potential beyond recovery. IT IS WRITTEN that God's thoughts toward me are of PEACE, to give me a FUTURE and a HOPE—present tense, TODAY. My potential isn't defined by what I did or didn't do at age 13—it's defined by whose I AM. I am in Christ, and in Him all things are POSSIBLE. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing doesn't ask 'did you develop your gifts on schedule?'—it operates by COVENANT, and I am Abraham's seed through Jesus' blood. God is downloading into me in MOMENTS what I thought required YEARS of development, because I'm connected to the VINE and fruit is AUTOMATIC when you abide.
Your Father doesn't see wasted potential—He sees UNTAPPED potential He's about to EXPLODE in you at the exact RIGHT moment. What you didn't develop 'on time,' He's about to ACTIVATE instantly, because His gifts and calling are IRREVOCABLE regardless of your timeline.
