"I gave my prime to a marriage that ended in divorce, and those decades are just gone."
How it sounds in your head: You poured everything into a covenant that she walked away from or you destroyed through failure. Decades of trying, investing, sacrificing—all ending in legal papers and division. You can't get back your thirties, forties, fifties spent in something that ultimately failed. Those years are just erased.
"Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs."

The marriage certificate is literally stamped 'dissolved,' making those years feel negated. Shared history with someone who's now a stranger creates a sense of wasted emotional investment and lost time.
Hosea invested years in a wife (Gomer) who repeatedly prostituted herself and abandoned him—seemingly the ultimate wasted relational investment. God didn't call those years wasted but used them as the EXACT preparation for his prophetic ministry that influenced nations, turning relational pain into purpose that outlived him by millennia.
I REFUSE the lie that my marriage years were wasted because it ended. IT IS WRITTEN that instead of my shame I receive DOUBLE honor—God redeems what ended poorly and multiplies blessing from broken places. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing doesn't depend on relational outcomes or marital success. Every faithful act in that covenant still counts in Heaven. IT IS WRITTEN that God works ALL things together for good. My latter days are greater than my former, and the wisdom I carry from that pain equips me for assignments only the wounded can fulfill. I am not disqualified; I am uniquely prepared.
The Father isn't scoring your worth by marital success or treating you as damaged goods. He's running toward you with the ring of restored authority and sandals of sonship, celebrating that the pain you walked through created compassion and wisdom that now positions you to heal others from a place only the broken understand.
