"Taking medicine long-term means I'm in unbelief and haven't received my healing."
How it sounds in your head: People who are really healed don't need ongoing medication. If I'm still taking pills months or years later, it proves I never actually received healing. My faith must be defective.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
-- Romans 8:1Religion defines healing as only instant disappearance of symptoms, shaming ongoing treatment as unbelief.
You've heard testimonies of people throwing away medication after instant healing, and continuing to take yours feels like proof you're in the slow lane spiritually. You wonder if you're missing something others got.
Paul asked God three times to remove his thorn. God said no - but gave SUFFICIENT GRACE to live with it powerfully. Paul's ongoing condition didn't mean unbelief; it meant God's strength perfected in weakness through sustained provision.
I REFUSE the lie that ongoing medication means unbelief. IT IS WRITTEN: There is no condemnation for those in Christ - NONE. Paul had a thorn God didn't remove but gave sufficient grace to carry. Sometimes medication IS the grace. IT IS WRITTEN: My grace is sufficient for you. Whether healing is instant removal or sustained grace through treatment, BOTH are God's provision. I am the blessed of Abraham, receiving blessing however it's packaged - instant miracle or ongoing supply. No condemnation. No shame. Only grace.
Your Father is running toward you saying 'You're not in the slow lane - you're receiving My SUSTAINED provision!' He's not disappointed you're still taking medication. He's faithfully supplying what you need every single day, celebrating His ability to provide continuously.
