"Spiritual warfare is dangerous; I might open doors I can't close"
How it sounds in your head: What if you say the wrong thing and make it worse? What if you provoke demonic retaliation against your family? Better to stay quiet, stay safe, let the professionals handle deliverance.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
-- 2 Timothy 1:7Source: enemy - fear tactics to prevent believers from using authority
You've heard horror stories about deliverance gone wrong, people getting more oppressed, families under attack. The supernatural feels unpredictable and you don't want to be responsible for collateral damage.
Paul and Silas were beaten, bleeding, feet in stocks - then they worshiped. An earthquake shook the prison, doors flew open, chains fell off. The jailer and his ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD were saved and baptized that same night - no gradual process, no danger, just instant breakthrough through worship warfare.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual warfare is dangerous to those in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that God has NOT given me a spirit of fear, but of POWER and love and a sound mind. Fear of the enemy IS enemy attack, and I reject it. IT IS WRITTEN that no weapon formed against me will prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I will condemn - that's MY heritage as a servant of the LORD. The BARAK blessing means the terror of God surrounds me and my family - the enemy should fear ME, not the other way around. I am covered by the blood of Jesus, seated in heavenly places, and backed by the armies of heaven. I don't fight FROM fear; I fight FROM victory.
The Father isn't watching nervously hoping you don't mess up spiritual warfare - He's the one who GAVE you the authority and promised nothing would harm you. You're not a scared kid poking a hornet's nest; you're a son enforcing your Father's victory.
