"Singleness is a curse I need to break through more prayer, fasting, and faith to fix."
How it sounds in your head: You've been to the prayer nights for breakthrough. You've fasted for clarity. You've decreed and declared and believed harder. Part of you wonders if you're not spiritual enough, not faith-filled enough, not persistent enough in prayer. Maybe if you just prayed MORE, fasted LONGER, believed HARDER, God would finally release your spouse.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us... that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religion's formula gospel applied to relationships—the lie that you can EARN answered prayer through spiritual intensity instead of receiving by grace through faith.
The Bible says persistent prayer works and you've been praying for YEARS with no answer. Every sermon on faith makes you wonder if your faith is too small or your prayer too weak.
He had ZERO time to fast, pray, or prove anything—he was dying and hours from death. He made ONE statement of faith and Jesus said, 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' No process, no proving, no spiritual performance—just grace received in a moment.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to earn breakthrough through spiritual performance. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ has REDEEMED me from the curse of the law—singleness isn't a curse I need to break; it's a season I'm blessed IN. I don't receive promises through fasting marathons or prayer intensity; I receive through FAITH in His goodness. IT IS WRITTEN that we receive the blessing of Abraham through CHRIST, not through works. My relationship status is not evidence of weak faith or insufficient prayer; it's evidence of NOTHING except timing that's in the Father's hands. The BARAK is mine NOW—not after I pray harder, not after I fast longer, not after I prove anything. I am blessed COMING IN and blessed GOING OUT, and that includes blessed while single.
The Father isn't waiting for you to hit some spiritual quota before He releases your spouse—He's not a vending machine requiring the right prayer coins. He's a Father who gives good gifts based on HIS goodness, not your performance, and He's already planned the WHEN with such precision that all your striving won't speed it up or slow it down.
