"Science has disproven the supernatural. Faith is pre-scientific superstition."
How it sounds in your head: We understand the natural world now. Evolution explains origins. Neuroscience explains consciousness. Psychology explains religious experience. Miracles are ancient people misunderstanding natural events. Faith is what we had before we had science.
"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist."
-- Colossians 1:16-17World: creating a false dichotomy between empirical knowledge and supernatural reality, making materialism the only intellectually respectable position.
You've learned evolutionary biology, cosmology, neuroscience. The gaps where God used to hide have closed. 'God of the gaps' feels like a losing strategy. Miracles feel like violations of natural law, and natural law feels inviolable.
Nicodemus, Pharisee, scholar, intellectual, came to Jesus at night with questions. Jesus didn't dumb down—He went DEEPER, talking wind, Spirit, heavenly things. 'You must be born again' made no scientific sense. Nicodemus struggled with the mechanics. Jesus didn't explain the mechanism—He invited encounter beyond empiricism. Later, Nicodemus defended Jesus publicly, brought 75 pounds of burial spices—full conversion, no intellectual compromise.
I REFUSE the lie that science has disproven the supernatural. IT IS WRITTEN: 'By Him all things were created... in Him all things CONSIST.' The laws of physics don't replace God—they describe His regular activity. Gravity is God saying 'yes' to matter attracting matter; miracles are God saying 'not this time.' IT IS WRITTEN: 'The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork' (Psalm 19:1). I am Abraham's seed, blessed by the BARAK covenant—and Abraham saw stars and believed a promise that violated biology. My Father isn't threatened by telescopes or microscopes. He invented what they see.
Your Father isn't intimidated by the scientific method—He invented observation, hypothesis, experimentation. Every discovery you make is you thinking God's thoughts after Him. He's not hiding in the gaps; He's holding the atoms together. The prodigal's education didn't disqualify him from sonship.
