"Real men don't need much and shouldn't want comfort—I should be tougher than this."
How it sounds in your head: You're a man. You've lived through wars, depressions, hard times. What's wrong with you that you want ease now? Weak men need comfort. You should be able to endure anything without complaint.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

You were raised to 'tough it out' and never complain. Wanting comfort feels like you're becoming soft, losing your edge, not the man you used to be. Men endure—they don't ask for ease.
Elijah, the MIGHTIEST prophet, collapsed exhausted and suicidal under a tree. God didn't rebuke him for weakness—He sent an ANGEL with FOOD, let him sleep, fed him AGAIN, and gave him 40 days of strength from two meals. Comfort, not condemnation.
I REFUSE the lie that wanting comfort makes me weak. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus offers REST, not relentless endurance—His yoke is EASY and His burden is LIGHT. I'm not called to white-knuckle my way to death. IT IS WRITTEN: The LORD commands blessing on my storehouses and makes me lie down in green pastures. Even Elijah, the mighty prophet, received supernatural comfort when exhausted. Rest isn't failure—it's FAVOR. I'm a son, not a machine. My Father designed this season for BLESSING, not proving I can suffer silently.
Your Father doesn't respect stoic suffering—He's the one who sent manna every morning for 40 years because He didn't want His kids hungry. He gave quail when they wanted meat. He's not impressed by your ability to go without—He's grieved you think He wants you to.
