"If I were more faithful with little, God would trust me with more."
How it sounds in your head: You've mismanaged what you had. God's watching to see if you're faithful before He blesses you. You failed the test with the income you made. Maybe if you prove yourself now with what's left, He'll open windows.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religious works theology; twisting the parable of talents into a performance prerequisite for blessing.
You genuinely made financial mistakes, and the parable of talents does talk about faithfulness with little. The lack of breakthrough feels like proof you haven't passed the test yet.
Crippled, hiding, expecting death as Saul's grandson, he did NOTHING to earn favor. David GAVE him all of Saul's land, a permanent place at the king's table, and full provision—not for faithfulness, but for COVENANT sake.
I REFUSE the lie that God is auditing my past failures before releasing present provision. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was STILL a sinner, Christ died for me—blessing came BEFORE faithfulness, not after. The prodigal got the robe before the bath. Mephibosheth got the king's table while still crippled. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing covered his LIES with INCREASE. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 5:21 that I am the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ—not becoming righteous, but AM righteous NOW. The Father isn't testing my management; He's demonstrating His NATURE. I receive provision based on COVENANT, not performance. His grace is sufficient, His strength perfect in my weakness. I am blessed because HE is good, not because I am perfect.
The Father didn't wait for the prodigal to clean up, prove himself, or manage the pig farm well. He ran while the son still STANK. Your financial past doesn't determine His financial future for you—His NATURE does.
