"Real friendship requires energy and time I don't have anymore. I'm too tired to invest in people."
How it sounds in your head: After the doctor appointments, the medications, the afternoon nap I can't skip—there's nothing left. Friendship takes effort, and I'm running on fumes. Better to just be alone than fail at one more thing.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:29-31World system lie that friendship is WORK to be performed instead of FRUIT that flows from abiding—making connection about energy management instead of covenant life.
His body tells him daily he's depleted—every social engagement requires recovery time. He used to power through fatigue; now he can't. Friendship feels like one more thing on a list he's too exhausted to complete.
Moses was 120 years old when he died, and Scripture records 'his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished'—supernatural strength maintained his entire life, including leadership and friendship. God's power sustained what age should have depleted.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too tired for friendship. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives POWER to the weak and INCREASES strength to those with no might. I don't operate from my own energy—I draw from HIS unlimited supply. The BARAK blessing that sustained Moses at 120 with undimmed vigor sustains me NOW. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength—I am being renewed RIGHT NOW. Friendship isn't about my effort—it's about His LIFE flowing through me. I am a branch abiding in the VINE—fruit comes naturally, not from striving. I receive divine energy for connection TODAY.
The Father isn't waiting for you to feel energized—He's supplying supernatural strength RIGHT NOW because friendship is FRUIT, not work. You don't produce it by effort; you receive it by ABIDING, and He's already pouring His life into your tired body.
