"People only like me when I'm useful. When I stop providing something, they disappear."
How it sounds in your head: You're valuable for what you DO—rides, connections, favors, entertainment. The moment you can't deliver, watch how fast they vanish. You're a resource, not a person.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Transactional worldview + performance-based identity + works mentality projected onto all relationships.
He's noticed friends only reaching out when they need something, being valued for his car or his house or his skills. The moment he can't provide, silence.
Man couldn't DO anything—completely paralyzed, totally dependent. His four friends carried him, tore through a roof, fought obstacles to get him to Jesus—not because he was useful but because they LOVED him.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm only valuable for what I provide. IT IS WRITTEN that God loved me while I was STILL a sinner—before I could offer anything—which means love isn't transactional. I am not a resource; I am a SON with the BARAK blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that I am accepted in the Beloved, which has nothing to do with my performance. Divine friendships see me the way the Father does: loved for WHO I am. People who love ME, not my usefulness, are coming.
The Father is running toward you with friends who will carry you when you can't perform—while you're still believing you have to earn connection. He's already showing them your worth.
