"Pain-free living is for younger people. At my age, some level of pain is just normal and expected."
How it sounds in your head: Every friend my age has something—knees, hips, back, shoulders. We compare prescriptions and procedures like trading cards. Maybe this is just what seventies looks like. Expecting to be pain-free seems unrealistic now.
"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."
-- Psalm 92:12-14Cultural agreement and medical establishment normalizing disease as part of aging, creating low expectations.
Statistical reality—nearly everyone in this age bracket has chronic pain conditions. Even healthy agers have 'normal' arthritis. Medical literature presents pain as expected age-related decline.
Eighty-five years old, declaring 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' No decline, no 'normal aging,' full strength and ready to take mountains at 85.
I REFUSE the lie that pain is normal for my age. IT IS WRITTEN: 'They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.' FRESH. Not medicated, not managing, not declining—FRESH. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed in my body under the BARAK covenant. Statistics don't determine my reality; Scripture does. I declare Caleb strength—as strong now as ever, ready for mountains, not nursing homes. IMMEDIATE restoration to fresh, flourishing, pain-free living is my covenant right.
The Father isn't nodding sympathetically saying 'yes, aging is hard, let's manage this.' He's declaring over you what He declared over Israel: 'Your shoes didn't wear out for forty years'—supernatural preservation that defies natural decline, available NOW.
