"Opportunities aren't meant for people who look like me."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen the pattern for fifty years—certain opportunities seem reserved for certain people, and you're not in that category. You've knocked on doors that never opened while watching others walk through easily. The data of your life seems to prove this true.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Enemy deception rooted in worldly gatekeeping systems, weaponizing real systemic barriers to limit faith.
You can list specific opportunities you were qualified for but didn't receive. You've been the token, the diversity hire, the exception that proves the rule. The exhaustion of fighting for every inch makes this lie feel like wisdom.
Mephibosheth was crippled, from a disgraced family, hiding in obscurity at Lo Debar ('place of nothing'). King David instantly restored ALL of Saul's land to him, gave him permanent place at the king's table—complete reversal from hiding to honor in one encounter through covenant alone.
I REFUSE the lie that opportunities aren't for me. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ—not some, not limited access, but EVERY blessing. God commanded the blessing on my storehouses, on all I set my hand to. The BARAK of Abraham flows through my life by covenant blood, not skin color. Human gatekeepers don't control my destiny—the King of Heaven does. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail. My Father has prepared good works for me to walk in, and no man can shut what He has opened.
Your Father has been opening doors for you that no man can shut—doors you didn't even know existed. He's not limited by human systems or bias; He specializes in making ways where there is no way, and He's running toward you with opportunities that have your name written on them from before the foundation of the world.
