"Only young people can pivot or reinvent themselves successfully."
How it sounds in your head: You see the 25-year-old launching her third business or switching careers fearlessly. Meanwhile you feel locked in by mortgage, kids' college funds, 401k. You think reinvention is for people with nothing to lose, not women your age with everything on the line.
"Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:19Enemy lie that flexibility and fresh starts have age limits and require financial cushions.
Your responsibilities are massive—you can't just quit and backpack through Europe to 'find yourself.' The young woman can fail and start over; you have people depending on you. Every pivot feels impossibly risky.
Abraham was 75 years old when God said 'leave your country, your family, everything you know, and go to a land I'll show you later.' He pivoted his entire life in old age with zero specifics, and became the father of nations.
I REFUSE the lie that reinvention is only for young people with nothing to lose. IT IS WRITTEN that God is doing a NEW thing NOW, that it's springing forth in my life THIS MOMENT. He makes roads in wildernesses and rivers in deserts—the impossible pivot in impossible circumstances. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 1:6 that He who BEGAN a good work in me will complete it. Like Abraham leaving everything at 75 to step into destiny, my age and responsibilities are the SETUP for undeniable testimony. I am a BARAK-blessed daughter, and the blessing includes NEW BEGINNINGS at any age. God is shifting my path RIGHT NOW, and provision follows His assignments.
The Father isn't asking you to burn everything down irresponsibly. He's been preparing a SHIFT that will INCREASE your capacity to care for everyone depending on you while finally stepping into what makes you come ALIVE. It's not either/or. It's BOTH.
