"Younger people don't respect or value anything I have to say anymore."
How it sounds in your head: When I speak up in meetings, I see eyes glaze over or drift to phones. My adult children don't ask for my advice. Young coworkers talk over me like I'm invisible. I've become the old lady people tolerate but don't actually listen to.
"The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness."
-- Proverbs 16:31Enemy's strategy to silence the voice that carries the most authority: the one who's watched God be faithful across DECADES.
Her opinions get dismissed at work. Her kids do the opposite of her advice. Younger women at church gravitate toward younger leaders. She feels like she's shouting into a void.
When Israel needed deliverance, God didn't choose a young warrior—He chose Deborah, a mature woman, to judge the entire nation. Even the general Barak refused to go to battle without HER, saying 'If you don't go with me, I won't go.'
I REFUSE the lie that younger people don't respect or value what I have to say. IT IS WRITTEN that my silver-haired head is a CROWN OF GLORY. I wear a crown whether they see it or not. God has made me a voice of wisdom, a carrier of His authority, a DEBORAH in this generation. IT IS WRITTEN that the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, they shall still bear fruit in old age, they shall be fresh and flourishing. I am not drying up—I am FLOURISHING. My voice carries weight in the Spirit realm even when dismissed in the natural. I am BLESSED and highly favored, the head and not the tail, and my words carry LIFE.
The Father sees you as DEBORAH—a woman so anointed that warriors won't move without your word. He's positioning you where your voice will be SOUGHT, not tolerated, and those who dismissed you will come asking for the wisdom they scorned.
