"Nobody texts me first. I'm always the one reaching out. I'm not a priority to anyone."
How it sounds in your head: You check your phone hoping for messages and it's empty. You initiate conversations, make plans, reach out—and it feels one-sided. If you stopped trying, you wonder if anyone would notice or care.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Social media has created quantifiable rejection—you can literally count who reaches out and who doesn't, turning connection into scorekeeping.
Your phone literally shows you the proof—empty notifications, read receipts with no response, group chats you weren't added to. It's not just a feeling; you have data.
He climbed a tree just hoping to SEE Jesus from a distance, not expecting interaction. Jesus STOPPED, looked UP, called him by NAME, and invited Himself to Zacchaeus's house—from invisible outsider to Jesus's chosen destination in seconds. Jesus sought HIM.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm nobody's priority. IT IS WRITTEN that God knows the thoughts He thinks toward me—thoughts of peace and hope—and I am on His mind constantly. The Father seeks ME, initiates with ME, pursues ME. IT IS WRITTEN that His thoughts toward me outnumber the sand on the seashore—I am His PRIORITY. The Father is aligning me with people who will reach out, who will initiate, who will CHOOSE me. I carry the BARAK blessing of favor—people are drawn TO me, and mutual, reciprocal friendship is my inheritance. I am PURSUED, CHOSEN, and a PRIORITY.
The Father didn't wait for you to text first—He sent Jesus WHILE you were still a sinner. He initiates, He pursues, He stops everything to seek you, and He's bringing you friendships that mirror that same intentional pursuit.
