"I'm invisible—people look right through me like I don't even exist."
How it sounds in your head: Teachers don't call on me, kids don't invite me, I can walk through a crowded hallway and no one sees me. It's like I'm a ghost in my own life. Even when I try to speak up, it's like my words don't register. I'm here, but I don't matter.
"See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me."
-- Isaiah 49:16Enemy lie of erasure, making him feel forgotten and insignificant before his voice even develops, silencing him through perceived invisibility.
Pre-teen years amplify social hierarchy, and he's experiencing the sting of being overlooked while watching others get attention. When people don't acknowledge him, it feels like confirmation he doesn't matter.
Hagar was a mistreated servant, pregnant and fleeing into the desert, completely overlooked and discarded by everyone. God met her there and spoke directly to her, and she called Him 'El Roi'—'the God who SEES me'—because in her most invisible moment, she discovered she was fully seen by God.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm invisible or forgettable. IT IS WRITTEN that the Father has inscribed me on the palms of His hands—I am continually before Him, never out of sight or mind. People's blindness to me doesn't define my value because the Creator of the universe is CONSTANTLY focused on me. I carry the BARAK blessing that made Abraham's name GREAT among nations—the same God who promised 'I will make your name great' over Abraham promises to make ME seen and significant. IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 10:30, 'The very hairs of your head are all numbered'—if God counts my HAIRS, I am not invisible; I am INTIMATELY known and watched. The God who sees me is positioning me for sudden recognition.
The Father sees you feeling unseen and He's not adding to the crowd ignoring you—He's leaning in, speaking your name, reminding you that you're the apple of His eye. Like Hagar in the desert, your most invisible moment is when you discover the God who SEES you has never looked away.
