"No one actually reaches out to me. If I stopped initiating, I'd have no friends."
How it sounds in your head: I'm always the one texting first, planning hangouts, checking in. If I stopped, the silence would be deafening. That proves I'm not actually valued.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
-- Zephaniah 3:17Enemy twisting your gift of initiation into evidence of rejection.
You've tested it—stopped reaching out and watched the silence stretch. Birthdays pass without texts. Plans happen without you. It feels like confirmation that you're only connected when you do the work.
Felt completely alone, suicidal, convinced everyone had abandoned him. God didn't lecture him about his feelings—He sent an angel to bring him food TWICE, let him sleep, and then spoke to him gently. God PURSUED him in his darkest moment.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm only connected when I initiate. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord rejoices over me with singing—I am PURSUED by the Father. I am NOT alone or forgotten. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:13 that I am the head and not the tail—I am VALUED, not overlooked. The BARAK positions people who will SEEK me out, check on me, and celebrate me. Divine pursuit is finding me NOW.
The Father didn't wait for you to get your act together before running to you. He pursued you while you were still a long way off. He's sending friends who will do the same—reach out, initiate, and value YOU.
