"My sickness glorifies God by showing I can endure suffering."
How it sounds in your head: People say I'm so strong for dealing with this illness. Maybe my testimony of suffering is what glorifies God. Maybe healing would take away my platform to witness about endurance.
"When Jesus heard that, He said, 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.'"
-- John 11:4Religion made weakness the testimony instead of power, contradicting every healing Jesus performed as a demonstration of God's glory.
People at church praise sick people who 'endure with grace' and it gets attention. It feels like losing the sickness means losing purpose and identity.
He was sick for THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS, lying by the pool waiting for a miracle, but Jesus said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk' and IMMEDIATELY he was healed. God got glory from the HEALING, not the 38 years of waiting!
I REFUSE the lie that staying sick glorifies God! IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus glorified the Father by HEALING, not by maintaining disease! Lazarus was raised, the blind man was healed, the paralytic walked - THAT glorified God! My testimony of POWER glorifies Him more than my testimony of endurance! IT IS WRITTEN in John 11:4 that sickness exists so God can be glorified THROUGH HEALING! I am under the BARAK blessing where health brings glory! I receive healing NOW and my testimony will be HIS POWER!
Your Father isn't glorified by watching you suffer - He's glorified when healing POWER explodes in your body and you testify 'LOOK WHAT HE DID!' He's running toward you with resurrection life RIGHT NOW!
