"I must have hidden sin causing this sickness that I need to find and confess."
How it sounds in your head: If I was right with God, I'd be healed. There must be unforgiveness or secret sin blocking my healing. Maybe the issue from my twenties. Maybe resentment toward my father. I need to dig deeper and get clean.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
-- Romans 8:1Source: Religion teaching Old Covenant cause-and-effect that puts healing on the performance side of the equation instead of the grace side.
John 9 shows disciples asking if sin caused blindness, and he knows he's not perfect. Searching for a cause gives him something to control when healing feels out of reach.
Jesus healed him immediately without any confession or sin discussion. AFTER healing him, Jesus later said 'See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you'—healing came FIRST, before addressing sin, proving healing isn't contingent on perfect confession.
I REFUSE the lie that hidden sin blocks my healing. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation to those in Christ—not less condemnation, NONE. Jesus healed first, addressed sin after. IT IS WRITTEN by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, before I was born, before I sinned. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK that protected liars and deceivers. My righteousness is a GIFT, and my healing flows from His perfection, not mine. I receive healing NOW because the blood covers everything.
Your Father isn't withholding healing until you find the secret password sin. He kissed the prodigal who still smelled like pigs and prostitutes BEFORE the son confessed. The robe was already ready. Your healing is already ready. Take it now.
