"My siblings got the family wealth while I got nothing—God must favor them over me."
How it sounds in your head: I watched my brothers and sisters prosper from the family business, the land, the investments. I got passed over, left out. If God controls everything, He must have chosen them and not chosen me. Maybe I never deserved it.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Enemy twisting unequal earthly distribution into proof of unequal divine favor, using comparison to steal identity as beloved son.
The financial disparity is measurable and decades-long—they have wealth, he doesn't, same family, different outcomes. Religious teaching about 'God's will' makes it seem like poverty is his assigned portion.
Esau was the rightful heir, the firstborn, the one who 'deserved' the blessing—but Jacob STOLE it through lies and deception. When Isaac discovered the fraud, he STILL declared 'I have blessed him and he SHALL BE BLESSED'—the blessing couldn't be reversed, even by deception, because God's choice stands regardless of human fairness.
I REFUSE the lie that unequal earthly distribution means unequal divine favor! IT IS WRITTEN that God freely gives me ALL THINGS through Christ. My siblings' wealth is not proof of God's preference—God chose Jacob the DECEIVER over Esau the deserving. The BARAK blessing isn't distributed by birth order or fairness—it's distributed by COVENANT, and I am IN CHRIST. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field, above only and not beneath. No comparison can touch what the Father has prepared for me!
While you're comparing bank accounts, the Father is whispering, 'I gave you My Son—how would I withhold anything?' The older brother in the parable had access to EVERYTHING but lived like he had nothing because he was focused on the other son's party instead of the Father's presence.
