"My family's wealth was cursed so it's better I don't have any."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen what money did to your family—the fighting, the betrayal, the addiction. Maybe poverty is actually protection. Maybe God is keeping you from wealth because He knows you'd be destroyed by it like they were. Better to struggle than to become like them.
"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy."
-- 1 Timothy 6:17Enemy using trauma from family's misuse of money to make her fear the very blessing God wants to give.
She actually witnessed money destroy relationships in her family—divorce over assets, siblings not speaking, addiction funded by wealth. The pain is real and wealth feels dangerous.
He was 'very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold,' and God called him friend. His wealth didn't disqualify him from intimacy with God—it was part of the BARAK blessing that protected and provided for him.
I REFUSE the lie that poverty is protection from a curse on wealth. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives us RICHLY all things to ENJOY—not scarcity to keep us safe. My family's misuse of money doesn't define God's intention for me. The BARAK blessing includes provision, and I am Abraham's seed. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 8:18 that God gives power to GET wealth. I am not my family's pattern. I am IN CHRIST, and He became poor so I might become rich. I receive wealth as blessing, not curse.
Your Father isn't withholding provision to protect you from becoming your family—He's offering you wealth WITH His wisdom and character. He trusts you with blessing because you're being transformed by His nature, not repeating old patterns.
