"I don't deserve my family's money because I'm not the responsible one like my sibling."
How it sounds in your head: Your brother gets straight A's and you barely pass. Your sister is at the honors college and you're barely getting into community college. They talk about giving her the car and you heard your parents say you're 'not ready for that kind of responsibility.' You know which kid they'd trust with the inheritance.
"And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.'"
-- Luke 15:31Source: Religion spirit that says blessing follows performance and responsibility, making you earn what should be freely given as son.
You can literally hear your parents praise your sibling's responsibility while questioning yours. The comparison isn't in your head—it's in every family dinner conversation where they're the example and you're the cautionary tale.
Jacob straight-up DECEIVED his father Isaac to steal Esau's blessing through lies and trickery. When Isaac discovered the deception, he trembled but said, 'I have blessed him—and he SHALL BE BLESSED'—the blessing couldn't be reversed even by deception because it's based on covenant, not character.
I REFUSE the lie that I have to be the responsible sibling to deserve inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN that the father said 'all that I have is yours' to BOTH sons—the wild one and the religious one—because inheritance is based on POSITION, not performance. Jacob DECEIVED his way into blessing and Isaac said 'he SHALL BE BLESSED' because covenant blessing can't be reversed by bad behavior. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:17 that I'm an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ—not because I'm responsible enough, but because I'm HIS. My Father isn't comparing me to my sibling—He's running toward me with the ring and the robe.
Your Father isn't withholding inheritance until you prove you're as responsible as your sibling—He's already declared 'all that I have is yours' the moment you became His son. He's not waiting for your grades to improve or your act to get together; He's running toward you with full sonship rights because His giving is based on HIS nature, not your maturity.
