"My potential died when I made that choice; I'm living with permanent consequences."
How it sounds in your head: You had potential before, but you blew it. That door is closed forever. Other kids still have their futures open, but yours got locked down by your mistake. You'll always wonder what could have been if you hadn't messed up.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: world system teaching irreversible consequence, contradicting redemptive restoration.
You see real consequences—friendships ended, opportunities lost, things that can't be undone. Adults talk about 'natural consequences' like they're permanent. It feels like some damage can't be fixed.
Samson lost EVERYTHING—his calling, strength, eyes, freedom—grinding grain as a blind slave. His last prayer, God INSTANTLY gave him strength to kill more enemies in his death than his entire life. His greatest victory came AFTER his worst failure—potential restored in one moment.
I REFUSE the lie that my potential died with my mistake. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locust has eaten—what was lost, consumed, destroyed. My future is not limited by my past because I serve the God of resurrection. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed coming in and going out, above and not beneath—my potential is covenant-based, not choice-based. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work WILL complete it. I declare my potential is ALIVE and GROWING right now.
The Father doesn't write 'POTENTIAL: EXPIRED' on your file—He's already planning your comeback. What you think is dead, He calls 'sleeping,' and He's about to wake it up.
