"My peers are getting promoted and I'm stuck. I've wasted my twenties and can't catch up now."
How it sounds in your head: The guys I graduated with are directors, managers, making real money. I'm still entry-level or barely mid-level. Every LinkedIn update is a reminder I'm losing. There's no way to make up this much ground. I should be established by now.
"So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen."
-- Matthew 20:16Source: World's ladder-climbing meritocracy that measures worth by org chart position and equates promotion with divine approval.
You can see the salary differences, the titles, the responsibility gaps. Math says if they're five years ahead in progression, you'll always be five years behind, even if you catch up in skill.
Workers hired at 5 PM—the last hour of the day—received the exact same full day's wage as those who started at 6 AM. One hour of work equaled twelve hours of pay because the master was generous, not because they earned it through time served.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm behind my peers or that late starts result in permanent disadvantage. IT IS WRITTEN that the last shall be first, and in God's economy, one hour can equal a full day's wage through HIS GENEROSITY. I am NOT competing with my peers; I am CONNECTED to the Vine, and promotion comes from the Lord, not from ladder-climbing. IT IS WRITTEN that the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM is mine, and that blessing made Abraham leave Ur with nothing and become incredibly wealthy. The BARAK made Jacob go from refugee to rich in six years what should have taken thirty. I receive ACCELERATION that bypasses every natural timeline. The Father is about to LEAP me past people who started before me because His favor is not fair—it's LAVISH on His sons.
The Father doesn't measure your worth by your LinkedIn title or salary bracket—He measures it by your position IN CHRIST, where you're already seated in heavenly places (Eph 2:6). He's about to open doors no resume earned and give you favor that makes no natural sense, just because you're His son.
