The memory of significant moral failures creates the feeling that he spiritually injured something that can't fully heal, like a torn rotator cuff that's never quite the same. The magnitude of past sin seems proportional to permanent faith damage.
Manasseh sacrificed his own children to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, practiced witchcraft, and led Israel into worse evil than pagan nations - yet when he cried out from prison, God heard, restored him to the throne, and he finished his life blessed. No sin is too big for complete restoration.
I REFUSE the lie that past sin damaged my faith capacity! IT IS WRITTEN that God blots out my transgressions and DOESN'T REMEMBER my sins. The blood of Jesus didn't partially clean me; it made me COMPLETELY NEW. Manasseh sacrificed his children to demons and was fully restored. Paul murdered Christians and became the greatest apostle. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION - old things PASSED AWAY, all things became NEW. My past doesn't create deficits; the cross created FULLNESS. The BARAK blessing covered liars, murderers, and adulterers in the Old Covenant - how much MORE does Christ's blood cover me in the better covenant!
The Father doesn't see you as damaged goods with reduced capacity - He sees you as COMPLETELY REDEEMED, believing from fullness. Like the prodigal who came home from prostitutes and pigs yet received the FULL ring, robe, and sandals with ZERO probation period, you're operating from FULL SONSHIP, not damaged status.
