"My mistakes and mess-ups are too frequent and too big"
How it sounds in your head: I feel like I'm always apologizing for something. I mess up more than other kids. By now I should have learned, but I keep making the same mistakes. I'm worried people are going to give up on me.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."
-- Romans 8:1Religious performance spirit teaching that mistakes disqualify him, crushing grace and replacing it with shame cycles.
He's been corrected or punished repeatedly for similar mistakes. Adults have said things like 'Again?' or 'How many times do I have to tell you?' creating fear that patience is finite.
Peter denied Jesus THREE TIMES, swearing he didn't know Him after promising to die for Him. Days later, Jesus didn't lecture him or make him prove himself—He restored him INSTANTLY, gave him the keys to build the Church, and never mentioned the denials again.
I REFUSE the lie that my mistakes are too big or too frequent to be covered by grace. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for me in Christ Jesus—not less, not sometimes, but NONE. My identity is not 'mistake-maker'—it's RIGHTEOUS SON OF GOD. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, and that includes my learning process. The BARAK covenant over my life doesn't waver when I mess up—it's based on GOD'S FAITHFULNESS, not my performance. I am forgiven, I am loved, I am righteous, and I am FREE from shame. Every mistake is covered by the blood of Jesus, and I walk in the confidence of a son who knows his Father never gives up on him.
The Father sees your mess-ups and immediately sees Jesus covering them. He's not disappointed—He's not surprised—He's not counting. Like the prodigal's father who didn't mention a SINGLE mistake when his son came home, your Father erases every one and throws a party over YOU.
