"My limitations disqualify me from leadership or spiritual authority"
How it sounds in your head: Leaders are supposed to be strong, capable, examples. How can you lead when you can't even lead yourself to the bathroom? Who's going to follow someone who's physically broken? Authority requires strength.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:27World's definition of leadership as dominance and capability, directly opposing God's pattern of using the weak to shame the strong.
Every leadership model you've seen prizes strength, independence, and capability. When you lack those visibly, it feels like you've been benched from spiritual influence.
Told God he had a speech impediment and couldn't lead. God didn't heal the impediment—He said 'I will be with your mouth.' Moses led the entire Exodus, confronted Pharaoh, and spoke to millions WITH the limitation.
I REFUSE the lie that limitation disqualifies leadership. IT IS WRITTEN that God CHOOSES the weak things to shame the mighty—my limitation is my qualification in His Kingdom economy. Moses had a stutter, Paul had a thorn, Jacob had a limp, and all three led nations and movements. My authority comes from CHRIST IN ME, not physical prowess. IT IS WRITTEN that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. I am anointed, appointed, and SENT—not despite limitation, but as a demonstration that GOD gets the glory, not human capability.
The Father doesn't choose leaders based on résumés or physical capability—He chose a stutterer to free Israel, a limping deceiver to father twelve tribes, and a blinded Pharisee to write half the New Testament. You're exactly His type.
