"My lack of energy means I'm wasting my youth and missing God's plan for my life."
How it sounds in your head: You're supposed to be out there changing the world, serving, making a difference. Instead you're in bed exhausted. You're wasting the best years of your life and God's plans are passing you by.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Performance-based identity lie that equates energy with purpose and exhaustion with missed destiny.
You see other people your age doing amazing things—mission trips, leadership, starting businesses. You can barely get through the day. It feels like everyone else is running their race and you're on the sidelines wasting your potential.
Moses spent 40 YEARS in the desert doing NOTHING after murdering someone and running away. He was 80 years old, had spent half his life in obscurity, and God STILL used him to deliver an entire nation—his 'wasted' years weren't wasted at all.
I REFUSE the lie that my exhaustion is wasting my youth or God's plan. IT IS WRITTEN that His thoughts toward me are of PEACE to give me a FUTURE and a hope—not a past I've already blown. He makes everything beautiful IN ITS TIME, and this season isn't outside His timing. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work in me will complete it. My destiny isn't dependent on my energy level today. Moses spent 40 years in a desert and STILL fulfilled his purpose at 80. The BARAK blessing declares I am the head and not the tail—I'm not behind; I'm exactly where I need to be.
The Father doesn't see wasted years—He sees perfectly timed preparation. He's not panicking about your exhaustion derailing His plan; He's perfectly peaceful because YOUR REST is part of the plan. Nothing is lost. Nothing is late.
