"Everyone else has energy to do life. I'm stuck watching from the sidelines permanently."
How it sounds in your head: Your friends are out there living—dating, driving, working, having fun. You're in bed. Again. You're missing your own life while everyone else gets the good stuff. You're the broken one who can't keep up.
"Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
-- Psalm 103:5Enemy comparison trap: 'You're the only defective one. Everyone else got what you're missing.'
The evidence is overwhelming. You see them on social media living the life you want. You cancel plans constantly because you're too tired. You're becoming the friend who 'can't ever do anything,' and you hate it.
Elijah was so exhausted and depressed he asked God to let him die. He fell asleep under a tree completely done. An angel woke him with food, he ate, and the strength from that ONE MEAL carried him 40 days and nights to Horeb—INSTANT supernatural endurance.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm the broken one left behind. IT IS WRITTEN: my youth is renewed like the eagle's—not gradually, but by RENEWAL. I am not in competition with anyone. I am a BRANCH connected to the Vine, and the same sap that flows through the whole tree flows through me. The BARAK blessing isn't based on my energy levels—it's based on COVENANT. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. I don't watch life—I LIVE it, because I'm IN CHRIST.
The Father doesn't see you as 'less than' your friends. He sees you IN CHRIST—perfect, complete, lacking nothing. He's not waiting for you to catch up. He's running to you with the fattened calf, throwing the party for YOU, right now, exactly as you are.
