"My intensity drives people away. I need to shrink myself to be acceptable to others."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen people pull back when you get passionate. Your wife says you're 'too much' when you talk business. Your kids rolled their eyes at your intensity. Maybe if you were calmer, quieter, less... you.
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14Enemy whisper disguised as social feedback, weaponizing normal relational dynamics to silence the roar God put in you.
You've watched rooms go quiet when you enter with energy. People have actually used the words 'tone it down' or 'relax.' The pattern seems undeniable—your fullness creates distance.
John wore camel hair, ate locusts, screamed at religious leaders calling them snakes, and lived in the wilderness like a wild man. Jesus called him the greatest man born of women—didn't ask him to tone it down once.
I REFUSE the lie that my intensity is a problem requiring management. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made—every ounce of passion, every surge of energy, every intense moment is God's intentional design. I am NOT too much for the assignments God has given me. The BARAK blessing of Abraham rests on me—the same blessing that protected liars and deceivers protects my full expression. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO condemnation for those in Christ—not for my volume, my energy, or my fire. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my intensity is a weapon, not a wound.
The Father is running toward you WITH your intensity, not asking you to leave it at the door. He's the one who turned over tables in the temple—He LOVES passionate sons who burn hot for truth.
