"My inheritance is in heaven but not available to me on earth now."
How it sounds in your head: Preachers always said 'store up treasures in heaven' and 'don't be earthly minded.' I'll get my reward when I die. For now, I should just accept struggle and wait for heaven. Prosperity now is worldly. My real inheritance is after death.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Religious postponement teaching that divorces present reality from covenant promises and spiritualizes lack.
Decades of preaching emphasized heavenly reward over earthly blessing. Spiritual-sounding theology makes present struggle seem noble and expecting provision seem carnal.
Genesis 13:2 says 'Abram was very RICH in livestock, in silver, and in gold' - the father of faith walked in EARTHLY abundance NOW, not just heavenly promise later. His covenant blessing included present, tangible, measurable wealth while alive.
I REFUSE the lie that my inheritance waits in heaven while I suffer on earth. IT IS WRITTEN that God HAS blessed me - past tense - with EVERY spiritual blessing NOW. Matthew 6:10 - Kingdom provision comes to EARTH. The BARAK blessing is for THIS life - Deuteronomy 28 promises are PRESENT tense. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham walked in earthly wealth as covenant promise. I am Abraham's seed - his blessing is MINE now. Heaven's abundance is meant for earth today. I receive PRESENT provision, not just future hope. My inheritance is NOW.
Your Father isn't asking you to white-knuckle through poverty until you die so He can reward you later. He's saying, 'Let Me show you NOW what covenant looks like, so your final years testify to My goodness while you're still here to see faces light up when you tell them.'
