"My health issues and limitations prove God has rejected me for service"
How it sounds in your head: You're exhausted all the time. Your body hurts. You can't do what you used to do. Healthy people serve God; sick people sit on the sidelines. Your limitations are proof God's hand isn't on you anymore.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religion's prosperity gospel in reverse that equates physical health with spiritual favor and sickness with God's rejection.
Your body is giving you daily evidence that you're slowing down. When church culture celebrates boundless energy and you're managing chronic conditions, feeling rejected for service feels medically logical.
Paul had a debilitating 'thorn in the flesh' that God refused to remove despite three requests. Yet Paul wrote most of the New Testament, planted churches across continents, and turned the world upside down—WITH the thorn, not after it was removed.
I REFUSE the lie that my limitations disqualify me. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. My body's limitations are the stage for His power. IT IS WRITTEN that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me—not through my energy, but HIS. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing isn't contingent on my physical strength. I declare God's power rests on me BECAUSE of my weakness, not despite it.
The Father isn't waiting for you to get stronger. He's saying 'Your weakness is PERFECT—now watch what I do with a yielded, limited vessel. I'm going to showcase that the power is Mine, not yours, and it's glorious.'
