"My father had this pain. My grandfather had it. It's genetic. I'm destined for this."
How it sounds in your head: You watched your dad decline with the same back problems, the same joint issues. The doctor says it runs in your family like it's a done deal. You're following the same path they walked, and medical science says DNA is destiny.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17World system elevating genetic determinism above covenant identity and creative power of God's Word.
You literally see the pattern repeating—same age, same symptoms, same progression. Medical tests confirm genetic markers. It feels like fighting against biology itself.
Everyone assumed the man's blindness was inherited—either his sin or his parents' sin caused it genetically or spiritually. Jesus said NEITHER—he wasn't locked into generational patterns. One touch from Jesus, and a lifetime condition was IMMEDIATELY reversed, breaking the assumed genetic destiny.
I REFUSE the lie that genetic patterns override covenant promises. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION—old things, including DNA curses, have PASSED AWAY. I am not my earthly father's health destiny; I am my Heavenly Father's blessed son. Christ redeemed me from the curse, which includes generational sickness. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that if I am Christ's, I am Abraham's seed and HEIR according to the PROMISE. The BARAK blessing that protected Abraham's lineage now protects mine—I don't inherit curses, I inherit BLESSING. My body responds to covenant, not chromosomes.
Your Father doesn't see your grandfather's DNA when He looks at you—He sees Jesus' blood that made you a NEW creation. The prodigal didn't inherit the pig farmer's destiny; the moment he returned, he inherited the FATHER's wealth. You're not destined for your dad's pain—you're destined for your Father's promises.
