"I've prayed for healing so many times—maybe it's just not God's will for me."
How it sounds in your head: I've begged, cried, fasted, had elders pray, tried everything. Other people get healed but not me. Maybe healing is for other people. Maybe God has different plans for my life that include this pain. I need to surrender to His will.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Religious teaching about mysterious sovereignty that makes healing a lottery rather than covenant promise, contradicting Jesus who healed ALL who came.
She's watched others receive instant healing while her prayers seem to hit the ceiling. It feels more humble to accept unanswered prayer than to question why healing hasn't manifested.
Scripture records that Jesus healed ALL who came to Him—not some, not the deserving, not those with enough faith, but ALL. There's no record of Jesus ever saying 'It's not God's will to heal you.'
I REFUSE the lie that healing might not be God's will for me. IT IS WRITTEN in 3 John 1:2 that it's His will I prosper in ALL things and be in HEALTH. Jesus healed every single person who came to Him—He never turned anyone away saying it wasn't the Father's will. His will was demonstrated perfectly in Jesus, who said if you've seen Me, you've seen the Father. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 Peter 2:24 that by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, already accomplished at the cross. The work is FINISHED. I'm not begging for something He's withholding; I'm receiving what He's already provided. The BARAK blessing includes divine health as covenant inheritance, not as special favor for special people.
The Father isn't withholding healing to teach you acceptance—He's already given healing at the cross and is frustrated that religion taught you to beg for what He already provided. He's running toward you with the robe of health, not a lesson in sovereignty.
