Too Much
"My expectations are too high and I need to just accept decline as normal aging."

How it sounds in your head: The doctor says 'at your age this is normal.' My kids hint I should lower expectations for travel, activity, even health. Maybe I'm in denial. Maybe I need to accept this is just how it is now.

Joshua 14:10-11

"And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in."

-- Joshua 14:10-11
Enemy whispers: 'Lower your expectations, decline is normal.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Joshua 14:11 - Caleb at 85 YEARS OLD said, 'I am as STRONG this day as on the day Moses sent me 45 years ago.' Caleb didn't accept decline—he DEFIED it and took a MOUNTAIN at 85. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 92:14, 'They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.' God's design for you is FRESH and FLOURISHING, not fading and declining. The BARAK of Abraham includes 'You shall come to the grave at a full age, as a sheaf of grain ripens in its season' (Job 5:26). High expectations honor God; lowered expectations agree with the curse Christ already bore.
Quick Truth: LIE: Accept decline as normal. TRUTH: Caleb at 85 was STRONG as at 40. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Still bear fruit in old age, fresh and flourishing' (Ps 92:14).

Medical system lie that decline is inevitable, denying Caleb at 85 and Moses at 120 with undiminished strength.

Why this feels true:

Everyone around you treats decline as inevitable, medical professionals lower expectations yearly, and statistics genuinely show aging patterns. But you're interpreting natural trends as spiritual absolutes.

Deuteronomy 34:7
Moses

Moses was 120 years old when he died, and Scripture records 'his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.' He climbed a MOUNTAIN the day he died and God Himself buried him. Moses never 'accepted decline'—he walked in supernatural strength until his final breath.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I should lower expectations and accept decline as 'normal aging.' IT IS WRITTEN that Caleb at 85 was as STRONG as he was at 40 and took a MOUNTAIN. My body is under the BARAK of Abraham, redeemed from the curse of premature decay. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall still bear fruit in old age and be FRESH and FLOURISHING. Medical statistics are NOT my destiny—God's Word is my destiny. I will be like Moses whose eyes were not dim and natural vigor not diminished at 120. I REJECT every voice that says 'at your age'—my age is the SETUP for God to show Himself strong. I expect SUPERNATURAL strength, fresh vision, and MOUNTAIN-TAKING anointing in these years.

But God actually:

The Father is running toward you with the SAME anointing that was on Caleb—fresh strength, clear vision, and mountain-taking authority in your 70s and beyond. He's about to do something in your body that makes your doctor speechless and your family weep, proving that His plans for your latter years include FLOURISHING, not fading.
