"My debt is punishment for not tithing faithfully when I had the money."
How it sounds in your head: God's windows are closed to you because you robbed Him for decades. You kept it all, so now He's letting you lose it all. This is justice, not bad luck.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree')."
-- Galatians 3:13Malachi 3:8-10 weaponized as Old Covenant curse; religious teaching that financial trouble is divine punishment for insufficient giving.
He remembers seasons of not tithing and the church teaching that linked it to cursing; current debt feels like predicted consequence of past disobedience.
Criminal who never gave a tithe in his life, never attended church, contributed nothing to God's kingdom financially. Jesus INSTANTLY promised him paradise that same day—zero financial faithfulness required.
I REFUSE the lie that my debt is punishment for tithing failure. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.' Every curse—including Malachi's threat—was nailed to the cross. I am NOT under law; I am under GRACE. The thief on the cross never tithed and got paradise. IT IS WRITTEN: 'There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus.' The windows of heaven are open because of CHRIST'S righteousness, not my giving record. The BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, and it protected liars and deceivers who gave God nothing. God isn't punishing me—He's running toward me with provision because that's who He IS.
The Father isn't reviewing your giving records—He's running toward you with OPEN windows, not closed ones, because Jesus' blood opened them forever. The fattened calf is ready, not the ledger.
