"My credit score defines my worth and limits what's possible for my family's future."
How it sounds in your head: Every application asks for that number. You can't get a house, a car, sometimes even a job without good credit. Your mistakes have permanently branded you with a scarlet number that follows you everywhere, limiting your children's opportunities.
"having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:14World system that assigns human value based on a three-digit number calculated by corporations.
She's been denied repeatedly - apartment applications, car loans, credit cards. She sees that number on every rejection letter, confirmation that she's permanently marked as "risky" and "unreliable." Her friends with good credit get opportunities she can't access, proving the number defines reality.
Mephibosheth was crippled, from a fallen family dynasty, living in poverty in Lo Debar ("place of nothing"), with every worldly mark against him. King David didn't check his credentials or resume. He restored ALL of Saul's land to him, gave him a permanent place at the king's table as one of the king's sons, and provided servants - INSTANT wealth and position based purely on covenant, not qualification.
I REFUSE the lie that my credit score defines me or limits what God can do. IT IS WRITTEN that the handwriting of requirements against me was NAILED TO THE CROSS. The world may have a number for me, but my Father has a NAME for me: BELOVED, DAUGHTER, HEIR, BLESSED. My access isn't based on a three-digit score - it's based on the BLOOD OF JESUS. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and in the field, the head and not the tail, ABOVE ONLY and not beneath - not because of my credit, but because of COVENANT. The BARAK blessing doesn't check credit reports. I am ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED.
Your Father isn't pulling up your credit report before deciding what to give you. He's the King who made Mephibosheth - crippled, broke, from a fallen dynasty - eat at the royal table permanently based on COVENANT, not credentials. Your "score" in heaven is PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS, gifted through Jesus, and that's the only number that determines what's available to you.
