"My chronic fatigue proves something is spiritually wrong with me and God is distant."
How it sounds in your head: If you had enough faith, you'd be healed. Other believers seem energized. Maybe you have unconfessed sin. Maybe God is disciplining you. Your exhaustion reveals your spiritual failure.
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
-- Romans 8:38-39Religious lie tying physical symptoms to spiritual punishment or inadequacy.
You've prayed and still feel tired. Others quote 'by His stripes you were healed' but you're NOT healed. You must be doing something wrong or God would fix this.
Man was sick for THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS lying by the pool, unable to help himself, no one to assist him. Jesus didn't ask about his sin or lecture about faith—He simply said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk,' and IMMEDIATELY the man was made well.
I REFUSE the lie that my fatigue measures my spirituality. IT IS WRITTEN that NOTHING—not things present, not physical symptoms, not chronic conditions—can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. There is NO CONDEMNATION for me. My Father isn't distant because I'm tired—He's carrying me like the prodigal, embracing me in my weakness. IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 11:28, 'Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST.' He invites the weary, not the energized. The man at Bethesda was sick 38 YEARS and Jesus healed him instantly without ONE QUESTION about his faith. That same Jesus lives IN ME.
The Father isn't waiting for you to have enough faith to heal yourself—He's running toward you IN your exhaustion, ready to speak 'Rise' over your weary body because that's who He is. He heals the faithless, the worn-out, the ones who've been sick for decades.
