"My changing body is embarrassing and something to hide"
How it sounds in your head: My body is doing things I didn't ask for—growing, changing, betraying me in public. I feel awkward and exposed. I wish I could just disappear until this is over.
"You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you."
-- Song of Solomon 4:7Enemy + shame culture attacking her at the most vulnerable developmental moment to steal confidence and silence her voice.
Puberty feels like chaos she can't control, and every physical change feels like it's under a spotlight. The world hasn't taught her that transformation is sacred—it's taught her that visibility is dangerous.
David was the youngest, smallest, overlooked brother—probably awkward, ruddy-faced, not the warrior type. But God didn't choose the tall, impressive ones. He chose David IMMEDIATELY, saying, 'The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.' Instant selection, zero shame.
I REFUSE the lie that my changing body is something to hide. IT IS WRITTEN that I am all fair and there is no spot in me. My body is not embarrassing—it is SACRED, designed by God Himself. IT IS WRITTEN that He knew me before I was formed, and He celebrates every stage of my growth. I am BARAK BLESSED with confidence and favor. I will not shrink or hide. I am BECOMING the woman God created me to be, and I walk in that identity with JOY and boldness.
The Father isn't embarrassed by your body—He's PROUD of it. He's not waiting for you to 'settle into' yourself. He's watching you unfold like a flower and whispering, 'She is RADIANT. She is MINE. She is exactly who I made her to be.'
