"My business failure is a sign I'm supposed to play it safe and get a regular job."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe entrepreneurship isn't for me. Maybe I'm supposed to be the 'normal' one with a steady paycheck and benefits. Maybe the responsible thing is to forget these big dreams and just clock in like everyone else. Stability over dreams.
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life."
-- Proverbs 13:12World: Culture of risk-aversion dressed up as wisdom, killing God-sized dreams before they mature.
A regular job would objectively provide immediate financial stability and eliminate the stress of entrepreneurship, making it seem like the smart choice.
God told 75-year-old Abraham to leave everything secure and familiar—his country, his family, his father's house—and go to a land he'd never seen with just a promise. He went. Waited 25 years for the promised son. Became father of nations. Playing it safe would have ended the Messianic line before it started.
I REFUSE the lie that one business failure means I should abandon entrepreneurship. IT IS WRITTEN when the desire comes it is a tree of life. God didn't plant entrepreneurial dreams in me to mock me—He planted them to GROW them. Abraham left security for a promise he waited 25 years to see. IT IS WRITTEN without faith it's impossible to please God. The BARAK blessing isn't for people who play it safe—it's for people who step out in covenant confidence. I can work a job AND steward the dream. Fear won't masquerade as wisdom in my life.
The Father isn't redirecting you to safety—He's the God who calls people out of boats to walk on water. Your business may have sunk but He's not done teaching you to walk on impossible things. Don't let one storm convince you to stay on shore forever.
