"My body's brokenness means God's promises don't apply to me fully"
How it sounds in your head: Sure, God's promises work for whole, healthy people. But you're operating at a deficit now. You can't claim the same victories, the same abundance, the same future when you're starting from broken.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us... that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religious lie that God's covenant is performance-based or conditional on physical wholeness, denying the finished work of the cross.
Blessings in Deuteronomy 28 sound physical and tangible—health, prosperity, victory. When your body doesn't cooperate, those promises feel like they're for others, not you.
Unloved, unwanted, with 'weak eyes' (physical flaw), yet the LORD opened her womb and made her the mother of Judah—the Messianic line. Her physical limitation didn't block God's covenant promise flowing THROUGH her.
I REFUSE the lie that my brokenness limits God's promises. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ REDEEMED me from the curse, and the blessing of Abraham is MINE through faith, not physical perfection. I am Abraham's seed, HEIR according to PROMISE. The BARAK blessing isn't performance-based—it protected liars, murderers, and deceivers because of COVENANT. I am in a BETTER covenant through Jesus' blood. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and in the field, coming in and going out—my body's state doesn't change my covenant position. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.
The Father's promises aren't contingent on your physical state—they're based on HIS faithfulness and Christ's finished work. He ran to the prodigal while he still SMELLED like pigs; your limitation doesn't slow His sprint toward you with the robe.
