"My body isn't what it was—no woman wants a man with health issues."
How it sounds in your head: You take medications, need reading glasses, maybe have a condition or two. You're not the strong protector you were. Why would a woman choose someone who might need care himself soon?
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Enemy accusation exploiting physical decline to declare you defective merchandise, unworthy of love.
You see the decline in the mirror daily. Pills, doctors, limitations. Masculinity felt tied to physical strength, and that currency is depreciating.
Crippled in both feet, hiding in obscurity, convinced he was worthless ('dead dog'). David SOUGHT him out, restored his inheritance, gave him permanent place at the king's table—not despite his disability, but because of covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that physical decline makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. I am not defined by prescriptions or limitations—I am defined by RIGHTEOUSNESS gifted to me in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed. The BARAK blessing includes health and vitality, and I walk in divine strength regardless of what doctors say. Father is preparing a woman who will see HIS power resting on me, who will value covenant partnership over physical perfection. I am blessed and not cursed.
Father doesn't see you as damaged goods—He sees you as the dwelling place of His Spirit, crowned with glory and honor. He's preparing a companion who will see you through His eyes, not through the world's youth-obsessed lens.
