"My body is too much - too fat, too curvy, taking up too much space in the world."
How it sounds in your head: You walk into a room and immediately calculate if you're the biggest one there. You angle your body in photos, hold your purse in front of your stomach, wear black to disappear. The world keeps saying 'small is better' and your body refuses to comply.
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14World system worshiping thinness as virtue, enemy saying your physical space determines your worth.
Every magazine, every Instagram feed, every compliment given to friends centers on being 'tiny' or losing weight. She's never been the small friend and the message feels relentless: less of you would be better.
The bride in Song of Solomon said 'I am dark' with shame, aware she didn't meet beauty standards. The Bridegroom's response was immediate and absolute: 'You are ALL fair, my love, there is NO flaw in you' - complete acceptance of her EXACT body without change or conditions.
I REFUSE the lie that my body is too much or takes up too much space. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and God's works are MARVELOUS - that includes THIS body, exactly as it is. The Bridegroom looks at me and declares 'You are ALL fair, there is NO flaw in you' - not after weight loss, not after transformation, but RIGHT NOW. IT IS WRITTEN that God formed me in the womb with PURPOSE and called it VERY GOOD. I reject the world's demand that I shrink to be acceptable. I take up exactly the space Father designed for me, and I carry His glory in THIS body, purchased by the blood of Jesus and indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
Father isn't waiting for you to lose weight to delight in you - He's running toward you NOW, declaring 'You are ALL fair, my love.' The space you occupy in this world is INTENTIONAL, and His opinion of your body was settled in Genesis 1:31: VERY GOOD.
