"My body is declining and taking my purpose with it."
How it sounds in your head: You need reading glasses for the first time. Your knees hurt after a workout that used to be easy. Perimenopause is making you feel crazy. You think, 'If my body is breaking down, how can God use me for anything significant?'
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day."
-- 2 Corinthians 4:16Enemy lie equating physical strength with spiritual assignment and value.
You can't pull all-nighters anymore. You need more recovery time. The mirror shows lines the world calls 'aging' like it's a disease. Doctors dismiss your symptoms as 'just your age,' making you feel like decline is inevitable and total.
Moses was 120 years old when he died, and Scripture specifically says 'his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.' After leading millions through the wilderness for 40 years, his strength was SUPERNATURALLY sustained for his assignment.
I REFUSE the lie that my body's changes disqualify me from God's assignments. IT IS WRITTEN that though my outward man is perishing, my INWARD man is being renewed DAY BY DAY. My purpose doesn't ride on my physical strength—it rides on HIS strength perfected in my weakness. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:31 that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength. Like Moses at 120 whose eyes were undimmed, God SUSTAINS what He assigns. I am a BARAK-blessed daughter, and the blessing includes HEALTH, STRENGTH, and VIGOR for everything He's called me to. My body is the STAGE for His glory, not the measure of my value.
The Father isn't calculating your worth by your hormone levels or your recovery time. He's watching your heart stay soft through the changes, and He's about to release assignments that require the TENDERNESS you're developing, not the strength you're mourning.
